Last year the league had 21 teams competing, with team Natibu clinching the championships. Last year’s competition was strictly for men. This year it’s going to be different.
For all interested teams and participants, the league will only accept 15 men’s teams and for the first time in its history, the league will now open its doors for 5 women’s teams.
The league will be on a first come first serve basis. The league will follow the Round Robin format and the entrance fee is set at $400 per team.
The kick off date for the 2nd Annual Budweiser Chamolinian Softball League will be on Friday, January 28th, 2011. The opening ceremony is also scheduled on the same day with the inaugural games following it shortly thereafter at the Capitol Hill Softball Field.
There will be a mandatory coaches meeting at the Gilbert C. Ada gymnasium conference room tonight at 6:30 pm sharp. All interested coaches and team representatives for both the Men’s and Women’s Divisions are required to attend as important information, including rules and regulations, may be distributed during this meeting.
The games will be scheduled every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with three games per night with the first game starting at 6:30 pm, the second game at 7:30 pm, and the last game of the night at 8:30 pm.
The Women’s division will play Monday night and Friday night at the second game or the 7:30 pm slot. All the other slots will be the men’s division including all games on Wednesday.
