CHANG Ming and A+ Consulting notched their second wins in the open and masters divisions, respectively, of the 17th IT&E United Filipino Organization Basketball League at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium on Wednesday.
Chang Ming vs Best Deal
Thanks to their strong perimeter shooting, Chang Ming dominated Best Deal, 80-60.
Rodel Pastrana, who opened the game with a three-pointer, led Chang Ming in the first half. It was his third three-point shot since the tournament began on Sunday. He finished with 21 points on Wednesday.
His teammate Keith Santos knocked down three shots from beyond the arc to contribute nine points, while Kobe Santos added two three-pointers and finished with 11 points. Keith has now made five three-pointers since the tournament began on Sunday.
Rannie Hizon went on a scoring spree toward the end of the first half and contributed a total 13 points to help Chang Ming maintain the lead.
He and Kobe Santos drained additional three-pointers in the second half, while Randa contributed eight points to help trounce Best Deal.
A+Consulting 55, KPro 51
A+Consulting secured their second victory in the masters division with Alis Robles scoring 11 points, including three free throws. Alex Lauron added nine points, while Jun Estolas chipped in seven, including a shot from beyond the arc. Julius Domine and Oliver Rivera contributed four points apiece to help hand A+Consulting its second victory.
KPro’s John Jugos sank two three-pointers to finish with 11 points, while Vinz Rodriguez contributed 10 with his inside attacks. Teammates Rodjay Macaraig and Jerome Reyes added nine and seven points, respectively.
