John Maratita, the group’s president in an interview yesterday said they have been holding softball games for years now but this time, they want to add more excitement by having three events happening concurrently.
The first two events that will they tentatively plan to start on Sept. 14 are the Men’s Island-wide Fast-pitch Softball Tournament and the Island-wide Coed Slow-pitch Softball Tournaments.
The third one, he said will be the Women’s Island-wide Fast-pitch Softball Tournament but the schedule has yet to be discussed in the final meeting set in the first week of the Sept.
Maratita said they are expecting 18 teams to participate in the three tournaments.
He is calling on all coaches and managers to keep in touch with him for the definite schedule of the meeting.
Any interested groups and individuals are welcome to join. The softball association, Maratita added is also seeking support from the business community for sponsorship.
