In 2019, Sinclair put his professional career on hold to represent the CNMI in the Pacific Games hosted by Samoa. “It was a weird feeling being the oldest member of the team,” Sinclair said. “But it was good — it was such a great group. It was a really fun two weeks.”
Sinclair won the gold in the singles event, and led the CNMI in besting Papua New Guinea to win the gold in the team event. “I was really surprised we won the team event,” he said.

In the men’s doubles, “I didn’t know how [teammate] Robbie [Schorr] was going to be. I wasn’t sure how Robbie would fare against older players.” Sinclair and Schorr won the silver medal.
In the mixed doubles, Sinclair was paired with Carol Lee. “The final match [against Papua New Guinea] was the end of a pretty long day and we played two other finals before that,” Sinclair said. He played multiple matches every day during the event. “My nerves were getting a little rattled,” he added.
“I remember the super tie breaker where Carol stepped up and she had a couple awesome points. She then ripped a down-the-line winner during the tie. It was really tight, and that completely won us the match,” Sinclair said. He and Lee won the gold.
