THE Compadres continue to dominate Bracket B of the E-Sports CNMI Invitational Basketball League 2025, earning their fourth straight win with a 64-56 victory over Mountain on Wednesday at the Koblerville basketball court.

The first half saw both teams exchanging buckets. Mountain relied on Oliver Roncal’s post moves to score inside, while Mark Saplan kept the offense flowing with hot shooting from beyond the arc.

On the other end, the Compadres emphasized teamwork, with every player contributing to a run. David and Chris Sanchez led the early charge, while Wemby Tabora hit timely shots to help the Compadres secure the lead, 30-24.

In the second half, Mountain fought back as Saplan continued his strong play with several and-one plays. Louie Ocampo and Jaime Antonio also added highlights in an attempted rally.

However, the Compadres remained composed and aggressive. Bench players like Jay Morilla stepped up with an all-around performance, while Chris Lucero and Jerico Blazo combined for eight points to maintain the lead.

In the final 10 minutes, Mountain grew desperate, committing several fouls. The Compadres capitalized on the free-throw opportunities, sinking high-percentage shots from the charity stripe to seal their 64-56 victory.

Also securing wins were Yabangis/HK over Island Hoopers, 75-67, and Top Shelf/Connie’s BBQ over Lakay, 81-61.
