Both teams achieved two points in the Singles Regular Cricket. Team Cool It then moved forward after partners Mario Abo, George Medina, Romuel Chavez, and Jun Visaya collared both points in the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out defeating partners Alfred Hocog, Greg Sasamoto, Jesse iglecias, and Ben Aguon. At the bottom of the round the scores were up, 4-2.
The Locals Too fought back in opening of the Singles Sniper round. Ben Aguon, Alfred Hocog, and Jesse Iglecias bagged three points while the last point was clinched by team Cool It’s Mario Abo.
At the bottom of the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round both teams met up at eight points all to making the final Team 1001/1101 Cherry Double in/ Double out round critical.
After 20 minutes of silence from both teams as Mario Abo, George Medina, Romuel Chavez, Jun Visaya, Alfred Hocog, Greg Sasamoto, Jesse iglecias, and Ben Aguon each stepped up to the plate to launch their darts across the arena. Team Cool It proved to be more precise in their aim hence garnering them the close win, 9-8.
MixBlood Shooters 14, Oleai Proofers 3
D’Pirates MixBlood Shooters preserved their first place throne in the A Division after dominating over team Oleai Proofers in their home arena, 14-3. It was a swift game for the leading MixBlood Shooters.
The MixBlood Shooters’ Joe Ann, Romy Intendez, Mario Jumalon bagged majority of the points in the Singles Regular Cricket while the first point of the round was notched by Luis Ramos against Jeff Barit.
The MixBlood Shooters then moved ahead of the game against their rivals after Ann, Intendez, Jumalon, and Barrit nailed all four points in the Singles Sniper round, followed by another two points in the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket, and the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out tallying the scores at 13-3.
The MixBlood Shooters completed their winning line-up after routing the victory in the Team 1001/1101 Cherry Double in/ Double out round, 14-3.
Kanto Boys 12, Primos 7
In the last event of the night D’Pirates Kanto Boys closely tail their sister team D’Pirates MixBlood Shooters after the Kanto Boys served Charlies Primos with a 12-5 victory at the Charlies Bar.
The Charlies Primos put up a strong fight during the opening round of the Singles Regular Cricket. JP Sablan and Jay Sablan drew first blood against Jojo Guilas and Ernie Domingo. The Kanto Boys remained unfazed and the immediately jumped back after Wilson Quiban and Albert Guevarra.
The Kanto Boys then left the Primos in their dust during the Singles Sniper bagging three points, Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket for two points, and the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round to dominate by taking claim of all four points the round offered.
The Primos then bounced back by taking claim of the final point in the Team 1001/1101 Cherry Double in/ Double out round, but nonetheless they were still eight points shy of defeating the Kanto Boyz, 12-7.
“The game between the Naked Fish Boyz & D’ Pirates Balite Boyz is re-scheduled on Friday April 8, 2011,” said league organizer Warlee Ellama in an email to the Marianas Variety.
