The Brewers led at the bottom of the second inning, with Mike Pangelinan sending Manny Sablan home on a double. Center fielder Mike Taitano and Tony Rogolifoi got away with two more runs.
D-9ers’ Eric Tenorio scored three RBI doubles at the top of the fourth, driving EJ Tenorio, Mesa, and Chris Camacho home to tie the game, 3-3. Isaiah Lizama walked and stole to second base before landing his first run at the top of the sixth.
Despite losing, Brewers’ first baseman Byron Kaipat went 3-for-4 and drove in one. He tallied two doubles and ended the bottom of the eighth with a single.
D-9ers’ pitchers JP Sablan and Mel Sakisat struck out four, walking only one.
