Effective as of yesterday, the change was made due to conflicts with certain graduation dates, according to Little League District Administrator Mike Borja.
Selection for all-star players representing Saipan will start in May 11, starting with the junior division. The senior and big divisions will follow in May 17. The majors division’s all-stars will be chosen after the playoffs (May 15).
District tournament winners will advance to the Asia Pacific Regional Tournament, which takes place in three locations this year. Those under the junior division will play in Jakarta, Indonesia from June 26 to 30. Senior and big league players will play in the Philippines from June 21 to 25. Guam will host majors division games from July 7 to 14.
Venues remain the same for the Little League World Series: majors (South Williamsport, Pennsylvania), junior (Taylor, Michigan), senior (Bangor, Maine), and big (Easley, South Carolina).
