Romeo Iginoef scored nine of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and Ponce Rasa Jr., who saw brief action in the first half sizzled with 12 of his 14 points in this period to lift DCCA past Hyatt for a 77-68 victory.
Nate Mateo and Bernard Aquino kept Hyatt afloat in the first quarter for a six-point lead.
But the three-pointers from DCCA’s Elias Rangamar and Taj Van Buren wiped this lead out in the second quarter.
This did not slow down Dave Sablan and Nate Mateo who kept their surge in the third, as Ray Lizama came into action and chipped in six of his 15 points to bring Hyatt back on its feet with six-point lead again.
Rasa and Romeo Iginoef rampaged with 12 and nine points respectively and Peter Camacho added seven of his 18 points to pull DCCA away towards the ball game.
IT&E 90, MBI 74
Darwin Barbo and Elmer Esdrelon sizzled with nine and 11 points respectively to boost IT&E past Micronesian Brokers Inc., in the second quarter.
Ryan Sanciangco lasted four quarters and poured in a total of 26 points to help IT&E secure their 90-74 victory of MBI.
Barbo finished with 21 points while Esdrelon tallied 19 points.
Ernie Fernandez and Bruce Berline added eight and six points respectively.
