Oleai’s Pam Ybanez, Willy Cuesta, and Annie Legaspi were able to direct their darts in critical areas speedily moving across the board to close areas 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 including bold attempts to the bull’s eye.
Ybanez, Cuesta, and Legaspi were able to nail the first three points of the open Singles Regular Cricket while Lionel Sanchez clinched the last point of the category.
In the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round the points were split in half with the first point going to the Flying Dartsmen after nailing their 501 first followed by the second point being notched by the Destroyers.
There was no stopping the Flying Dartsmen in the Singles Sniper and Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket rounds afte5r they bagged three points from the former and both points allotted in the latter.
The Flying Dartsmen dominated the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round and the final Team 1001/1101 Cherry in/ Double one round to finish the kill, 13-4.
Former champions settle for second
Last season’s champions, team Buddies Black Stallions so far, has settled for second place improving their statistics after defeating Oleai’s D’Companeros at the Oleai Bar and Grill, 10-7.
Jun Olita, Rick Elefante and Robert Valdez secured crucial areas of the board before team D’Companeros got their bearings in the game. Olita, Elefante, and Valdez closed areas 16, 17, 18, 19, 15, 20, and the bull’s eye in that order granting them three points in a row in the Singles Regular Cricket with the last point stolen by Junnie Guevarra.
In the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round team D’Companeros were able to redeem themselves after navigating their darts in the doubles area to start scoring followed by rapid movement throughout the board to collect 501 points first nailing them two solid points from the round.
The Black Stallions refused to let their second place standing be taken away, stepped it up a notch upon entering the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out round. Jun Olita, Rick Elefante, and Robert Valdez bagged three points from the round and the upper hand of the game. At the end of the round the scores were, 9-7.
Without further adieu the Black Stallions finished the game dominating in the Team 1001/1101 Cherry in/ Double one round handing the upset to their foes by three points, 10-7.
M-Destroyers topple PIC Shooters
D’Pirates M-Destroyers took advantage of their home arena as the main venue against their competition against Round House/PIC Shooters. The Destroyers clobbered the Shooters, 11-6, at D’Pirates Bar.
Leo Lindo, Bong Dizon, and Mario Jumalon wasted no time and instead drew first blood from the game after securing areas 18, 17, 15, 19, 16, 20, and the bull’s eye in that order clinching three points off of the round with the last point stolen by Nestor Abing.
The M-Destroyers then navigated their darts in the doubles area first to start scoring leaving the Shooters behind after collecting their 501 points first in the Partners 501 Double in/ Double out round. They then moved swiftly through the Singles Sniper round, losing one point in the Partners Wild and Crazy Cricket yet redeeming themselves in the Singles 301 Double in/ Double out.
The Shooters were able to dodge major lacerations to their statistics by winning the final Team 1001/1101 Cherry in/ Double one round yet they were still five points short of the game, 11-6.
