Diamond beats Triple J in Miller Lite Cup

Barrios fired two three-point shots and basketed his two free-throws, and Manolo Manalo added six points to set the 10-point lead in the first quarter.

Triple J’s Jeffrey Pagarao also blasted from outside the rainbow territory but Barrios and Boy Garcia limited his points to nine as the Fixers clamped on the Typhoon’s offense in the second quarter.

Within this quarter, Barrios picked eight more points with his two-pointers to stretch the lead to 16 points.

In an attempt to come from behind, the Typhoons tightened their defense trimming down the Fixers’ scoring to 15, and Pagarao went on rampaging in the third quarter cutting the lead to 11 points.

Jon Artates took the task in keeping the gap in the fourth quarter helping the Fixer paced ahead with his two-pointers and successful penalty shots.

The Triple J on the other hand continued their rally with RJ Nonato blasting a three-pointer and basketed six more points in the fourth quarter.

The Fixers also put up a tightened defense in this canto and maintained the lead to secure their win.

Meanwhile, Star Water won by default when Westco failed to complete a team.
