Eagles, Geckos remain unbeaten

The Eagles struck their second win against defending champion Kagman High School, beating them in three sets.

GCA claimed set one, 25-21 but fell to the Ayuyus, 12-25 in the second set. The Eagles struck back by the final round, snatching a six-point lead and crushing KHS, 15-9.

GCA defeated the MHS-KFC Dolphins for their first win last week and is scheduled against the MHS QTs today.

Meanwhile, the SIS Geckos posted a perfect three-set win versus the MHS Awesome Fins. SIS edged the Fins, 27-25 after a neck-and-neck first set and dominated the rest of the match, 25-12, 15-19.

The Geckos triumphed over Saipan Southern High School and the QTs in last Wednesday’s opening games.

Marianas High School’s KFC Dolphins and Awesome Fins also played on Monday, with the latter taking all three sets (25-21, 25-16, 15-2).

The Dolphins then fell to SSHS, who erased a six-point deficit to win their first set, 25-23. The Manta Rays easily won set two, 25-17 but was forced to reach the limit (21-19) in set three after a final rally from MHS.
