(Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands) — This Friday, July 11, is the early bird deadline for the 23rd Annual HANMI Charity Classic Golf Tournament, marking the last day to register for the exclusive rate of $110. The tournament will be held on July 26, 2025, at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort.
“HANMI prides itself in delivering a great tournament, and we’re working toward giving that same great service this year to our golfers on July 26,” said Tournament Chairman William Retardo. “We encourage all our golfing friends to save that extra $20 by making sure they register for the early bird rate by this Friday, and we look forward to getting together with everyone for a fun day of golf later this month!”
This year’s hole-in-one prizes include a 2026 Kia Sportage from Joeten Motors on Hole #13, a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz SE from Triple J Motors on Hole #3, a 2025 Toyota Tacoma 4×4 TRD from AK Toyota on Hole #17, and $5,000 cash from Pacifica Insurance on Hole #7. Deluxe Sponsors are Marianas Visitors Authority and Island Training Solutions. Superior Sponsors are Bridge Capital LLC, Docomo Pacific, and Wushin Corporation, and VIP Sponsors are IP&E Shell Marianas and First Hawaiian Bank. The HANMI board has designated the Commonwealth Cancer Association as the main benefactor of this year’s tournament.
The tournament fee includes an awards banquet at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort immediately following the tournament, where a raffle will include a roundtrip ticket for Saipan-Incheon on Jeju Air. Optional play for the tournament is $30. The fee increases to $130.00 after the early bird deadline on July 11, 2025. Registration fee for non-CNMI residents is $180 (also includes green fee and awards banquet). Optional play will include Accurate Drive (Hole #1), Aggressive Drive (#12) and four chances for Nearest to the Pin (Holes #3, #7, #13, and #17). Showtime is 6 a.m., and the tournament will have a shotgun start at 7 a.m.
The tournament is open to the first 144 paid registrants and follows a blackjack double Peoria format. Registration forms are available at LaoLao Bay Golf Resort and at the official website of HANMI at www.saipanhotels.org/.
