Evan Choi, Shawn Fleming are DC Classic overall winners

EVAN Choi and Shawn Fleming were the overall winners in their respective categories at the 2025 Dee Clayton Classic & Northern Marianas Bodybuilding Federation competition, held Saturday at Taga Hall, Saipan World Resort.

This year’s competitors proudly displayed the physiques they worked hard to sculpt.

The men’s physique category had the most competitors with three vying for the top spot in the short division. However, there was only one entry each for the tall and masters divisions.

With a poised physique and confident poses, Choi dominated the short division — earning first place and taking the overall title in the men’s physique category.

“I really like to work out,” he said in an interview with Variety. “Also, my major is Sports Science in Korea.”

When asked about how he felt winning first place, he said he did not expect the outcome and thought that Fleming would take the title.

“But winning first place — I cannot express my feelings enough. I’m so happy,” Choi said.

He is not sure if he will be able to defend his title next year as his internship with the Pacific Islands Club Saipan ends in February 2026.

Coming in second place in the short division was Shawn Fleming while newcomer Reymark Castro settled for third place.

Joining the podium were Tanielu Leuta, the first-place winner in the tall division, and Randy Pagapular, who took first in the masters division of the men’s physique category.

Fleming placed second in the men’s physique, but he claimed the overall title in the bodybuilding category as the only competitor. He was also the overall winner in the classic physique category.

Leuta, for his part, also earned first place in the tall division of the classic physique category.

The results of the women’s competition will be featured in the next edition of Variety.
