The Fielders dominated with an eight-run first inning, with Lions’ Cedric Ada and Jireh Yobech striking out at the bottom of the frame. Rogolifoi and second baseman Kai Wanket returned home on Khobby Kaipat’s single while Miko Gabionza bagged an RBI. Catcher Gayvon Uchau hit a triple at the top of the third and completed his first run on Jack Espinosa’s sacrifice bat.
The Lions tallied three runs from Justin Santos, Ada, and Yobech but were far from recovery. Two innings later, Justin Santos earned their fourth run on an error.
Gabionza walked twice and went 1-for-4 with three runs. Kaipat went 2-for-4 with two singles and two runs. Wanket scored two runs and Davin Ada, Keene Guerrero, Uchau, and Espinosa added one each.
Their match capped off at the bottom of the fifth via mercy rule.
