Film Showing a SUCCESS

Once again the community enjoyed a “night at the movies” while floating in the National pool, Meyuns. About 80 youth and adults watched Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian on Saturday, October 24 as part of a Palau Swimming Association (PSA) fundraising event.  Thanks to CAT 01-25 and EO3 Daniel Reardon and SW3 Jose Camargo for setting up the movie and to Debbie Toribiong and Caroline the Cow for bringing the ever popular Milky Way ice cream truck.  Caroline helped to give out raffle prizes to lucky winners and pose for photos with the movie goers.  The PSA raised over $270.00 during the evening.  Lucky Dermot Keane and family won the 50/50 raffle and generously donated their winnings back to PSA.  Funds raised by PSA will be used for the purchase of pool chemicals and supplies. The PSA would also like to thank everyone who showed up to support swimming in Palau.

PSA movie night was truly a fundraising success for the association and would like to thank all who helped in organizing the event and anyone who in some way offered their time and effort in the triumph of the affair.

The next “pool movie night” will be held in December.   For information on swim camps or public swim hours, call the pool at 488-6307.
