FLAMINGO Vipers finished first in the masters division of the 2024 SEDA Bud Light Dart League with a total of 289 wins after defeating Spicy Thai Double Chin Double Out or DCDO, 11-6, at the Flamingo Tavern on Wednesday.
The Vipers injected their venom early in the night by sweeping the opening set of the Single Regular Cricket games led by Goru “Gkawa” Iskawa with a 4.65 PPD (points per dart), alongside James “Mwahne” Welley, Dettz “Low-Tonese” Aldan, and Garnett “Lights Out” Martin for a 4-0 lead.
DCDO’s Dexter “NoFlexx” Rabauliman and Ben “Flow” Flores, along with Darion “Icebox” Jones and Brandon “BigBee” Babauta then swept the Partners 701 games to reduce the gap, 2-4.
Rabauliman tried to keep DCDO in the fight by clinching the first Singles Half-It game, but the Vipers bounced back by claiming the remaining games for a 3-1 run to maintain a comfortable distance, 7-3.
The Vipers kept the momentum burning with a two-win sweep of the Partners Crazy Cricket games.
Facing an inevitable loss, DCDO made sure they went down fighting as they notched a 3-1 run in the Singles 501 games before the Vipers claimed the final Team 1101 game to solidify their first-place finish, 11-6.
The Vipers are Juliano “Show Me” Matsutaro, James “Mwahne” Welley, Dettz “Low-Tonese” Aldan, James “Jembo” Tudela, Goru “Gkawa” Iskawa, and Garnett “Lights Out” Martin.
SpicyThai DCDO’s roster consists of Darion “Icebox” Jones, Dexter “NoFlexx” Rabauliman, Harry “Smooth” Nakamura, Ken “Senpai” Kaneshi, Ben “Flow” Flores, and Brandon “BigBee” Babauta.
Securing third-place was 6JMS Pinoy Drunken Dragons, who emerged victorious in an intense tiebreaker against the Bourbon Mafia, 9-8.
Drunken Dragons has a total of 230 wins while Mafia earned 229 wins.
