G-Stars deflect Saints, 76-67

G-Stars players went unopposed in the first half of play with 38 points total versus Saints’ 30 points.

Lia Rangamar was loaded with three points, firing away three times beyond the arc which connected to the basket.

Rangamar started the ball rolling for G-Stars when she fired a three-pointer in the opening play.

She released two more three-pointers in the succeeding minutes of the first half.

Dan Mateo also fashioned a three-pointer and added two-pointers to help bring G-Stars to heavens during the first half.

The bulk of the team’s score came from the hands of Nate Mateo, no. 21 jersey, who totaled 21 points on the board.

G-Stars continued its rampage during the second half as it emitted more shots down the basket to pull away from the Chalan Kanoa cagers.

Fastbreaks practically ruled the match between the two teams as they try to outrun and outscore each other that resulted in several team fouls on both sides, and ball outbound.

During the second half, Saints committed 11 team fouls as G-Stars carried out 9 fouls.

In recent match, the Chalan Kanoa cagers have lost to Sonics twice.

On the other hand, G-Stars have lost to Sonics in a past match.
