After Spiders team leveling the series to one game apiece it boiled down to a no holds barred, action packed, and jaw dropping game three in front of a full packed crowd at the Palau National Gymnasium where two teams representing their respective division in this year’s GBL championship match.
Starting out as a game of missed shots and a game tight defense from both teams, first half ended with a low scoring game. However on the third canto, team Galaxy sparked a 12 – 0 run courtesy of small forward Bong Alambra, which left MOE – Spiders calling a timeout to regroup. And with the start of the fourth and last period Galaxy went to their usual attack with Senandre doing the damage outside while Alambra playing the inside game.
On the other hand with a minute remaining on the regulation, Spiders developed a 9 – 0 run that sliced the lead of team Galaxy to just 10 points. With a score of 58 – 51, Spiders were tested a the free throw line to cut down more on the lead but was not able to deliver as they missed a total of 8 free throws combined to finally fold and gave the Championship Trophy to Team Galaxy.
