Rañola, although scoreless in the second quarter, hit six three-pointers in the first and turned the game around in the final quarter of the game.
Rañola scored 15 of his total pointes in the final quarters as he, Ehroll Peredo and Bernard Aquino carried the team to zoom past Shirley’s to steal the victory.
Peredo scattered 31 points including a three pointer in the third quarter and Aquino added 12 points, and had 2-for-3 during the decisive run.
Leo Factor scored 12 points as helped establish the lead in the first quarter hitting two of his four free throws.
Shirley’s Ryan Sanciangco scored a double-digit but did not score in the second quarter and failed to shoot his two free throws.
Elmer Esdrelon’s only score in the final quarter was a single three-pointer.
Bank of Saipan 86,Fixers 71
Alex Ocampo also led Bank of Saipan to creep back to 4-4 standing after losing to GEC Pawnshop on Friday.
Ocampo scored 31 as he carried the Bankers almost single-handedly to beat Diamond Fixers, 86-71 in the Masters Division.
Noel Delos Santos and Joseph Gatdula both scored 16 points and Lilio Tiples added 12 points.
Star Water 90, MIGS 81
Sherwin Samson scored 24 points as he led Star Water to ease past MIGS, 90-81.
Samson scored a double-digit in the second quarter while Gil Gapor added 18 points as he basketed six of his seven free throws.
