In an effort to grant a wish to a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, proceeds from the Golf Classic will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and other non-profit organizations.
The event will be held in a four-person scramble format, with a double Peoria handicap system that gives every player the chance to win the grand prize. Participants may choose to enter individually or be assigned to a team. They can also form their own four-player team.
The tournament’s format uses a best-ball style of play where — after each shot — the team decides which of its four balls it wishes to play. For a donation of $20, teams can also purchase “one kick” and “one throw” that they can use during the round. Other activities such as the longest drive and blindfolded drives — among others — are also scheduled.
Hyatt Regency Saipan invites all golfers, amateur and professional, to enter.
Application forms are available at Club Elan, Hyatt’s front office, and LaoLao Bay Golf Resort. Interested sponsors and players can contact Robin Eugenio of Club Elan at 1-670-323-5870, the Club at the Hyatt office 1-670-234-1234, or send an e-mail to [email protected].
