Pepe Tenorio hit a single and stole second, before Frank Cruz’ sacrifice fly moved him to the scoring position.
Choll Aces’ first baseman Ray Sablan dropped the ball from centerfielder Donald Pangelinan’s double-play attempt, allowing Tenorio to complete the decisive run of the game.
Earlier in the first inning, the Choll Aces were pounding the Dolphins with five base hits, with Lucian George’s two RBI single, Felix Remolet’s and Robin Secharmidal’s run-scoring singles and Esang Olkeriil’s sacrifice shot.
The Dolphins had only two base hits—Ed Kapileo and Jack Diaz’ single—to finish the four-run first inning trailing the Choll Aces one run behind.
Choll Aces held the Dolphins scoreless in the second inning and when they took their turn to bat, Roland Martin hit a solo home run, Donald Pangelinan, two-run homer stretching the lead too wide in the end of the second inning, (9-4).
With Tom Diaz two-run double and Ed Kapileo’s run scoring single, the Dolphins closed the gap by three, (9-2).
Ed Kapileo tied the game in the fourth inning by rocketing a two-run single and Gene Wever who drew a walk against Olkeriil scored helping the Dolphins take the lead.
Choll Aces’ Felix Remoket duplicated this to tie the game and both teams were scoreless in the sixth inning until Tenorio’s winning run.
Salty Boys 17, Peleliu 6
After losing to Choll Aces in the previous game, Salty Boys turned their ire at Peleliu routing them, 17-6.
Salty Boys broke the tie and rallied in the second inning by pounding Peleliu with eight base hits.
Percy Omechelang hit a solo home run and Darwin Masaharu fired a two-run triple to launch the winning rally.
Fulk Haruo had two RBI single, John Wayne Kentaro drove-in one with a single and Luis Ngiraikelau sent Masaharu home with a sacrifice fly.
In a losing attempt, Poland Masaharu hit a single before Henry Litulumar’s sacrifice sent him home.
The Salty Boys then, held Peleliu scoreless from fifth to the final inning as they lambasted them again with three more base hit for four-run sixth inning.
Trubak 16, Kagman Jacks 13
Ben Camalito hit a grand slam in the first inning and solo home run in the third to snap the Trubaks’ 4-game skid over Kagman Jacks, 16-13.
Camalito also drove-in one run with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and hit a run-scoring double in the fifth.
The Trubaks scored four runs in the first inning and rallied in the fourth with four walks and three base hits.
Rufino Aguon hit a run-scoring triple, Uh Mai a run-scoring double and Sherwin Moded run-scoring single.
