Run for Ron was held to raise fund for the trip of Ronald Villafria who will represent CNMI in the Mt. Fuji Marathon that will be held on July 23 at the Shizouka Prefecture, the home of Mt. Fuji in Japan.
Kabriel and Michael Mancao were in close race from the kick off all the way to the finish line clocking at 18:31 and 18:47 minutes for first and second places respectively.
Gary Bandoja settled for the third place with 19:04.
In the women’s division, Maricel Mahilum won the first place reaching the finish line in 28 minutes and 26 seconds.
Behind her was Ji San who finished the race in 33:17 minutes and Andrea Loste came third with 44:43 minutes.
Once again, Villafria wants to thank Grillin’, Salon De Manila, Michelob, IT&E, Maeda Pacific, Hard Rock Café, Top Notch, Island Apparel, Micronesian Brokers, Inc., Marianas Visitors Authority, Pacific Island Club, LBT Appraisal, Traders Insurance, E-Center, Inkcromax, G.E.C. Ronald Villafria who rarely missed athletics events on the island especially the XTERRA and the Tagaman triathlons will be joining the Mt. Fuji Marathon for third time.
