Kagman, Rollers open UBA league with win

In the 18U, Kagman 123 broke the tie with three seconds left to beat the Sixers, 71-69.

Dominic fired a tying two-pointers and Taro picked up fouls then, sank one of his free throws to edge the Sixers in the first half.

The game raged on as the Sixers rallied in the beginning of the second half, with Josh Duenas firing a three-point shot.

Saj Hossain who helped strengthen the lead in the first half with his eight points, continued his scoring surge adding 16 points to help Kagman regain the lead.

Joe Ada and Chris Duenas, firing eight and six points respectively, and Metron sizzling with nine points in the second half led the Sixers to keep pace with Kagman 123.

Ada fired a three-pointer in the last few seconds of the game to take the lead but Dominic’s two-pointer tied the game.

With three seconds to the buzzer, Kagman regained possession of the ball, Dominic was open and he went up for two-pointer that handed them their opening victory.

Hossain led Kagman 123 with 24 points while Joe Ada was the Sixers’ top scorer of the game tallying 22 points.

G-Rollers 64, Sonics 63

The game between G-Rollers and the Sonics in the 15U also kept the bleachers roaring in cheers. From the beginning all the way to the final buzzer, the game ran too close with as both the teams traded shots.

With Angelo Limes scattering 22 of his total points, the G-Rollers ended the first half with a five-point lead.

Jack Aranda scored 10 of his 16 points in the second half to help the Sonics keep pace with the G-Rollers.

Limes who controlled the offense in both halves kept charging the baskets to pound the Sonics with 18 more points, and finished with 40 points.

Down by one points in the last five seconds, Matt Igitol san a two-pointer to win the game.

Igitol contributed 11 points to the G-Rollers’s win.
