BEATRICE Pearl Gross scored the first goal against Shirley’s FC in one of the opening games of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Fall 2024 tournament to hand Kanoa FC its first victory at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Saturday.
After Kanoa FC’s 1-0 win over Shirley’s at 1:30 p.m., Gross delivered five goals in Kanoa’s 10-0 thrashing of Paire FC later in the afternoon.
Ye Lynn Ha scored two while Elikristiana Iglecias, Hayven Skye Seramafisch Motesou and Aubrey Paige White chipped in one apiece.
In the boys division, Taher Shakir and Christian Jesse Negara each scored a goal to give Kanoa FC a 2-0 victory over the Women’s Developmental Team.
Ella Hall and M. Mateo handed MP United an early lead against Shirley’s FC before Shirley’s Alyssa Borlongan narrowed the gap at the 27th minute mark. But Fiona Regan M. Mateo scored two goals each to seal the deal for MP United, 5-1.
In the boys division, Quido Jambor and Even Poole scored three and two goals respectively to help MP United blank Latte FC, 6-0. MP United’s Damien Camacho added a goal at the 40th minute mark of the game.
In their second match, Eunchan Ko helped MP United keep pace with Latte FC in the first half. Napu Pangelinan gave Latte FC a strong start by scoring the first goal 12 minutes into the game. Ko evened the score at the 14th minute mark, but Pangelinan regained the lead for Latte FC almost right away.
Ko closed the gap at the 30th minute mark before Landon Springer handed MP United the lead. Then Taiga Namai-Scoggins scored two goals in the second half en route to MP United’s 5-2 victory.
Kanoa FC1 14-and-under boys team routed Shirley’s FC,11-0, with Damien Michael Concepcion and Yuxi Lu scoring three goals each. Eamon Tang delivered two goals, while Izaiah Tenorio contributed one.
