Koblerville ES posts 1-0 win over San Antonio ES in boys’ 12-U football

Dafang Freeman of KobES Umang scored one goal after 16 minutes in the 2nd half of play, handing over SAES Octopus’ their second loss in the Southern Group.

Seeing an unguarded opening at the Octopus’ goal, Freeman breezed through two to three Octopus defenders in the 2nd half, sending the ball past SAES’ goalkeeper.

Currently, KobES Umang, boys’ team, has 2 wins, 1 tie, and 1 loss.

On the other hand, the boy’s team of SAES Octopus now carries a 1-2-2 win-tie-loss record.

Umang booters tried to take the ball to Octopus’ side and on several times throughout the entire match but got intercepted, and at crucial moments got the ball out of bounds.

They found their chance later in the 2nd period as they charged through KobES side of the field, sending Octopus’ goalkeeper in double time to prevent a quick score.

Octopus squad surged on the final minutes of the 2nd half but Umang booters held them back by blocking their attempts at the goal, always ready to take on the offensive.

On an earlier match yesterday, KobES Umang, girls’ 12-U team, also beat SAES Octopus, 2-0.

Nancy Oscar went for two goals – first goal in the first half at 6 minutes, and second goal in the second half with 14 minutes in the time clock.

KobES Umang now has 3-1 win-loss record in the Southern Group, while SAES Octopus, girls’ team hugs 2 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie.
