Marianas Amateur Table Tennis Association coordinator, Buddhi Gurung said they want to the kids to learn the international standard.
The tournament that will start from 2 p.m., through 10 p.m., will have four tables with barricades.
He added that MAATA President Steve lim is providing two new table tennis boards and barricades to the Korean Ping Pong Association. MATTA members are also practicing together with Korean Table Tennis Players every Tuesday and Thursday.
Gurung said the Korean kids have been taking their basic training in Ada Gym on every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., coached by Mr .Park, the President of Korean Ping Pong Association.
Some of the children, he said are good. He hopes they might join the team in near future if they continue the training.
To date, Gurung said there are more than 20 children ages ranging from six to 15 years old who are playing table tennis.
The members of the community are advised to come and watch. The group, he said wants to encourage them so they may represent CNMI in near future.
Meanwhile, Park said Saipan table tennis group is going to Korean for the first time to play with Korean counterparts in a Goodwill Table Tennis Tournament in third week of October.
