In his email to Trench Tech mixed martial arts promoter, Cuki Alvarez a few days ago, fight agent Jun Choi, said the KTT also decided to send 10 percent of their fight purse for those who have suffered in Haiti disaster.
Choi said their team was touched by Saipan MMA’s desire to help.
“It is so touching that you decided to donate $1 from every ticket sold. So as KTT, we also decide to donate 10% of our fight money for Haiti,” Choi told Alvarez.
Choi also said they will spread this good news to the other sports media entities in Korea.
Hoping that people in Haiti will soon recover, Choi thanked the MMA organizers on Saipan “for your warm hearts.”
The KTT, one of the leading MMA promoters in Korea is sending three professional fighters to participate in ROP 8.
Lim “The Ace” Hyun Gyu, Kang “Dr. Kang” Bum Chan and Gu “The Hippo” Young Nam will fight Saipan’s Slade “The Rage” Adelbai, Fasi “Quick Draw” Jesse and Chris “No Luv” Laayug.
The Korean fight team will arrive on Saipan on Feb. 10.
