KSG missed FT results a loss

Playing with only six players, KSG boys were able to abuse the Spiders’ defense with their three point accurate shooting as well as their power plays inside the painted area. Gino Smau dropped 18 for the entire match while team mates Ivan Blesam and Allan Marbou got 12 and 10, respectively which gave them a 12 point lead going to halftime. However as the game progresses, their lead dwindled to a single digit when the Spiders’ Taka, Curtis, Raymond, Dean, and George gathered their offensive power and put up a much better team zone defense at the third canto. From there, Spiders took the lead midway to the fourth.

But with a “never say die” attitude of Koror State, they were able to create a run to slice the lead to just two with 35 seconds remaining on the match. After series of plays, KSG was then fouled on midcourt to shoot freethrows to tie the game. The ball rolled on the rim but failed to drop inside on both shot which the Spiders rebounded. Spiders then used the clock wisely to their advantage until the final buzzer sounded. As for the other games, SDA / PTA team routed team association of referees, PBRA, with a score of 63 – 55while Surangel team crushed team Cliffside, 103 – 73 on that same night action.
