LATTE Football Club bagged their second win in the U14 girls division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Spring 2025 by outplaying MP United Football Club, 4-1, at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville on Saturday.
MP United set the pace throughout the early stage of the match. Playing with confidence and applying pressure defense, MPU capitalized on an opening in Latte FC’s weak side, allowing Caydince Masga to score in the eighth minute and give her team a 1-0 lead.
MPU may have started strong but soon began to fall apart. LFC retaliated with back-to-back goals from Angel Calayag in the 12th and 16th minutes, seizing a 2-1 advantage.
LFC’s momentum only grew in the second half as they maintained relentless forward pressure, leaving MPU with little room to breathe.
It didn’t take long for LFC to seal their victory, as Xyriel Pascual scored in the 30th minute, and Angel Calayag completed her hat-trick with a third goal in the 39th minute, securing a 4-1 win over MPU.
Paire vs Kanoa
The second match of the day ended in a 1-1 draw between Paire Football Club and Kanoa Football Club.
After 30 minutes of play, Paire gained the edge with a goal from Scarlett Burrell, but Kanoa’s Beatrice Gross responded five minutes later to equalize.
