Legislature shuts out Hopwood, 26-0

The Legislature sluggers pounded Hopwood with base hits in the fourth inning before centerfield, Bernard Cabrera caught the Frank Angel’s fly ball to finish the game in the fifth inning, handing junior highs its seven-game skid, 26-0.

Pete Towai and Toi Celis took turns in the mound and held Hopwood into five scoreless innings.

Towai struck out two and allowed only two hits, while Celis gave up three hits.

Cabrera, Ed Sablan, Mitch Aaron and Pete Towai hit three RBIs.  Cabrera hit three run scoring singles, Sablan two singles and Towai walked in the first and hit a single in the fourth inning.

Aaron hit a triple and two singles.

Paul Olaitiman, Ben Camacho, Toi Celis had two RBIs while Ross Manglona, Bernard Cabrera and George Camacho each added one RBI.

Beach Boys 19, CUC 6

   BJ Sablan homered twice and hit drove in two runs with a double hit in the sixth inning to lift Beach Boys to the fourth place with 19-6 victory over Commonwealth Utilities Corp.

Max Kadiasang and JR Suel also homered to continue pounding CUC in the second inning. Kadiasang and Suel also had two RBIs.

Mel Aldan hit three run scoring singles to earn three RBIs, while Ota Nibuyun, Steve Igisaiar and Jeremy Koshiro added one RBI each.

Igisaiar took the mound and struck out two and gave up 10 hits and allowed six runs.

 Joeten 10, PO1 9

The Joeten Jets took it slowly but surely as they inched their way two runs per inning to rally past POI, 10-9. This one-run victory prevented them from falling hard to hang on tying with No Zone in the third place.

From a two-run deficit in the fifth, the Jets rallied from behind in the final inning.

Clifton Sill hit a go-ahead single during the decisive run in the top of seventh and Fred Kaipat fired a double to secure the victory.

Donald Flores who replaced Shine Tenorio went sharp in the bottom of the sixth and struck out Jun Kaipat and Harlan Reyes.

JJ Cabrera, Dung Tenorio and Myron Sablan hit two RBIs while Sill, JJ Laniyo, Hector Efraim and Peter Sablan had one RBI each.
