THE Tuesday Division of the 2025 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League delivered another electrifying night of competition as Black 8 Crooked Arrow triumphed in stunning fashion over Black 8 Ideal Signs Rustler with a decisive 8–5 victory at the Black 8 Pool Bar on Tuesday night.

Both teams were evenly matched early on, splitting the opening Singles 8-Ball set. Rustler’s Roman Rodriguez and Rowel “Cobra” Mariano showcased sharp shot selections, while Crooked Arrow’s John Magofna and Ken Chen stayed calm under pressure, ending the set tied at 2-2.

When the action shifted to pairs, Crooked Arrow’s chemistry was on full display. Rey Hermogenes and Jerry Soriano, along with Chen and Magofna, combined for a two-win sweep in the following Partners 8-Ball set to seize control, 4-2.

That surge proved decisive, as the rest of the night featured a back-and-forth exchange of wins. The second Singles 8-Ball set was once again split evenly, with Rustler’s Tiu and Mariano taking two games, while Chen and Hermogenes secured two for Crooked Arrow to maintain a 6-4 lead.

Despite Rustler’s efforts, they couldn’t mount a comeback, splitting the second Partners 8-Ball set as well as the final single Partners 8-Ball game, ultimately falling short, 8-5.
