THE Cubs made the highlight reel on Saturday, securing a commanding 11-1 victory over the Falcons in a Minors Division game of the 2026 Saipan Little League at the Miguel “Tan Ge” Pangelinan Ballfield.
The Cubs wasted no time setting the pace, as pitcher Legend Coldeen struck out three consecutive batters to open the game. They then took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, with Skyler Leon Guerrero scoring on his first at-bat.
While the Falcons’ defense held firm in the second inning, their offense remained quiet for most of the game. The Cubs, meanwhile, continued to build momentum. Their bats came alive in the bottom of the third, with Khoen Torres sparking a three-run rally with a two-RBI single. Two more runs scored on errors in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 6-0.
In the top of the fifth, the Falcons managed to get on the board with a run off a fielder’s choice. However, they were unable to capitalize further, leaving runners on second and third.
Despite the comfortable lead, the Cubs continued to add runs in the bottom half of the inning. JJ Ramon, Leon Guerrero, and Torres fueled a five-run surge, turning hits into RBIs to seal the 11-1 win.
Leon Guerrero and Madden Deleon Guerrero led the Cubs at the plate, each going 3-for-3 with an RBI, while Coldeen finished with seven strikeouts.
In another game, the Jets defeated the Blue Jays, 6-2.
