Joe Torres takes November Ace crown

JOE Torres beat Ed Manglona by one stroke to win the Amigos Golf Club’s November Ace title during the monthly ace tournament held Sunday at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort.

Torres’ strong performance in the qualifying round on Nov. 9, 2025, secured his monthly title. He shot a 4-under-par 68 in the qualifier and a 6-over-par 78 in the ace round for a total of 146 to capture the November Ace award.

Manglona shot 75, beating Torres by three strokes in the ace round, but finished with a total of 147 because his qualifying score was a net 78.

Torres has now joined the other 10 Amigos elites who will compete for the 2025 Aces of Aces title.

Torres also shot a par on Hole No. 13 to win $120, along with Nick Leon Guerrero (Hole No. 3), Joe Sasamoto (Hole No. 7), and Jay Muna (Hole No. 17), who also carded pars.

The other Amigos who completed the monthly tournament were Manny Tenorio and Joe Tudela, who tied at 149; Sixtus Aquino and Nick Reyes, who tied at 152; Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho and Frank Sablan, who tied at 154; Ben Duenas, who totaled 155; and Syl Ada, who totaled 160.

Monthly ace winners Jay Muna shot 139 and Dung Tenorio shot 143.

The Amigos Golf Club will hold its December Ace qualifier on Nov. 30, 2025, at the LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort’s East Course at 8:30 a.m., with the ace round set for Dec. 7, 2025.
