SHIRLEY’S Football Club marked a huge achievement last Saturday as it collected its very first win in the U12 boys division of the TakeCare Youth Soccer League Spring 2026 after delivering a clinical 2-0 performance over Latte Football Club at the NMI Soccer Training Center in Koblerville.
Led by a disciplined defense and timely finishing, Shirley’s FC managed to neutralize Latte FC’s attack while capitalizing on its own opportunities to claim both goals.
Both sides tested the field accordingly; however, it was Shirley’s FC that found its rhythm first. The breakthrough came via Keoki Rios, who found space in the attacking third and slotted home a composed finish to put his team ahead, 1-0.
Latte FC attempted to respond quickly, with several players creating scoring opportunities. Despite its persistence, Shirley’s FC’s defensive line held firm, preventing any clear-cut chances from reaching the back of the net. The insurance goal arrived later in the match through Mykah Jax Salas, doubling the lead and effectively deflating Latte FC’s hopes of a comeback as Shirley’s FC closed out the 2-0 win.
Joining the winner’s circle was Kanoa Football Club 1 with its sixth straight win, a 6-0 result over Kanoa Football Club 2.
Jacob Borja, Dominic Canete-Ealy, Liam Jose Palacios, Keanu Pangelinan, Yinuo Yang and Jerome Quemado contributed one goal each.
In another match, Paire Football Club outscored Matansa Football Club, 3-1.
Geovanni Moses led the assault with two goals, while Vincent Castro added the third. Matansa FC scored on an own goal to avoid being shut out.
