THE CNMI Women’s Golf Association has seen a competitive stretch of golf over the latter half of the year, with members SaeHee Kim, Lydia Tan, and Rose Rohringer claiming their respective monthly titles in three separate tournaments held in August, September, and October at various locations.

On Aug. 16, SaeHee Kim was crowned the August winner after delivering a nail-biting finish, finishing just three strokes ahead of the competition at LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort West Course.

Kim secured victory with a phenomenal performance, shooting a gross of 37 on the front nine and 35 on the back nine. Despite carrying a modest 7 handicap, she still held the top spot with a net score of 65.

In second place was Myla, who finished with a net score of 68, followed by Lydia Tan in third with a net 69.

On Sept. 26, Lydia Tan came out on top, securing first place with a net score of 76 on the East Course. Her consistent play — shooting a gross of 48 on the front nine and 45 on the back — along with a 17 handicap, proved to be the winning combination.

Second place went to SaeHee Kim, who posted the tournament’s best gross total of 84 and finished with a net 77, while Youngmin Choi and Lorraine Babauta shared a net 81.

Rose Rohringer then claimed this month’s spotlight as she finished first in last Sunday’s tournament at the West Course.

Rohringer took home the first-place title after shooting 50 and 46 on the front and back nine, respectively. Her 21 handicap significantly aided her performance, helping her end the day with a net score of 75. A three-way tie between SaeHee Kim, Lydia Tan, and Flor Jones resulted in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishes, respectively.
