Loving Hands took defense to extreme heights as they forced the Warriors to commit several turnovers. Loving Hands’ Fidelino, Javier and A. Tabora combined for 16 of their team’s 24 points to end the first quarter with a double-digit lead, 24-11.

In the second quarter, Loving Hands’ Factor scored 7 points while team-mates A. Tabora and Tengco scored 6 apiece. Loving Hands went on a shooting spree and ended the first half way ahead, 50-25.

It was the same story in the third quarter, with Loving Hands expanding their lead to remain on top, 71-44.

In the fourth and final quarter, Loving Hands pressed on to end Saipan Warriors’ misery, 90-61.

Factor was named the Referee’s Choice for his marksmanship and defense.

Lakay vs Star Water

In the second game of the night, Lakay had to face Star Water’s twin towers, Barbo and Santos, and their sharp-shooting teammate Esdralon. Thanks to the trio, the first half ended with Star Water ahead, 44-42.

In the third canto, Esdralon continued to highlight his skills from beyond the arc, sinking consecutive triples. Lakay’s Solis scored 6 points, but Star Water remained ahead, 66-63, as the third quarter ended.

In the fourth and deciding quarter, Lakay tried to turn the tables on Star Water with Chris Lilis dropping 12 points. But Star Water stood its ground and walked away victorious, 85-80.

Elmer Esdralon was named the Referee’s Choice for his leadership, basketball IQ, and his 25 markers.
