Entry fee is $150 and is payable to SMLBA. Proceeds from this tournament will help defray costs for the CNMI national baseball teams’ participation in the upcoming Pacific Games, scheduled for Noumea, New Caledonia from August 27 to September 10.
A double elimination format will be utilized and cash and in-kind prizes will be awarded to the top two finishers. A homerun derby will also be held and the winner will receive a cash prize as well.
The SMLBA and the national team are encouraging all softball enthusiasts to support this cause by registering. Generous and financial contributions will be greatly appreciated.
An organizational meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium pavilion. All interested are invited to attend.

The team will be selling hot lunch at $5 per plate on July 15 and July 29. The all-star team will be selling tickets and they may be contacted for purchase.
Managers and coaches in the upcoming SML Summer/Youth Baseball League are also reminded to attend a meeting today, 6:30 p.m. at the Ada Gym conference room. The exact opening date, entry fee, and other matters will be discussed and finalized.
