Man Amigos, Island Rebels, Saipal retain top slots

Terlaje who usually pitched for Man Amigos took the outfield and showed good defense by throwing out G-Ballers’ Ray Terlaje on a fly ball.

He himself got thrown out on a fly ball by his G-Ballers counterpart, Isaiah Lizama.

Peter Sablan drove-in two runs with a home run and Joey Dela Cruz had an RBI triple to take the lead in the bottom of the first inning.

Vinnie Sablan singled and Joe Torres moved him to the scoring spot on a catching error by the short stopper and Ray Villagomez fired a two-run single, as Man Amigos riddled the G-Ballers in the second inning.

After a scoreless third inning, Jerry Ayuyu hit an RBI double in the fourth and the Man Amigos continued their winning ways in the fifth, firing seven more base hits including Jeff Cabrera’s two-run single, Mike Sablan and James Fleming’s run-scoring single.

Island Rebels 28, Berdax 22

Byron Kaipat rocketed a three-run home run and brought the lead back to help the Island Rebels beat Berdax, 28-22.

From a five-run deficit, the Berdax sluggers rallied in the fourth inning Jack U. Diaz and Jess Tenorio connecting a two-run home run apiece to take the front.  Frank Robert, Ben Camacho and Bill Camacho added run-scoring single apiece.

Vince Duenad drove-in a run with a sacrifice run and Juan Iguel knocked-in a run-scoring single as the Island Rebels took their turn to rally in the fifth inning. Ray Cepeda batted his way to the scoring position with a double before Roy Celis sent him home on a two-run double.

After Kaipat’s three-run home run, pitcher Craig Sanchez connected a two-run double and the Island Rebels never looked back.

Saipal 34, Team Familia 11

The Saipal sluggers gave Team Familia an extra length of time in the field as each of them rounded the base twice before the third out came up.

Lefty Shiro hit a three-run home run, Lawrence Dikito and Jason Hayes two-run homer apiece and the Saipal batters completed a season-high and two-fold perfect 21-run first inning.

It all started with Clifton Siliil’s walk and Dikito’s single. Leo Bobai, Luis Ngiraikelau and Jason Hayes had an RBI single a apiece before Shiro’s three-run homer came up.
