Manibusan is SGA’s July Ace

A three handicapper, Manibusan fired 1-over par 37 in the back nine and grossed 71.

Pete Rojas with 18 handicap shot 2-over par 38 in the front then, struggled in the back nine shooting 48 for a gross of 86 to tie with Manibusan.

But Rojas, a new comer, settled for the second as he bogeyed in Hole No. 8 where Manibusan pared and won the July Ace tournament title.

Former Senator Ray Dela Cruz and former Department of Community and Cultural Affair secretary Juan Babauta also scored the same net of 70.

Babauta however bogeyed in Hole No. 8 so Dela Cruz who was last March’s ace took the third place as he pared in the same hole.

Rojas and Babauta swung the longest drive. Rojas in Hole No. 1 and Babauta in No. 15.

Four golfers including Babauta and new comer, Jayson John fired closest to the pin.

Babauta in Hole No. 17; John in Hole No. 13; former Department of Public Works secretary Joe S. Demapan in Hole No. 3 and Steve Balakrishna in Hole No. 7.

Meanwhile, the SGA members and officers met recently and agreed to play with the Guam National Guard for their September Ace tournament on Sept. 6 at the Coral Ocean Point Resort. More details will be announced later. The schedule for the SGA August Ace tournament will also be announced later.
