Veteran cager, Ray Lizama who is currently coaching the IT&E Inter-government and Business Basketball League pennant champion, Hyatt Regency Saipan said there are a number of basketball players who have expressed interest in helping form the group.
He plans to set the meeting at 5:30 p.m., at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym conference room. Lizama said the pioneers will form the board who will then determine the founding officers of the much-awaited basketball organization.
Lizama is optimistic that they be having the group organized by the end of this month.
He said it is time for the NMI’s progressing basketball community to have something for the players 35 years old and above.
This, he said will not only pave the way for the NMI to join the annual World Masters Olympic but to provide veteran players something they can continue their healthy life style.
