Matansa FC conquered Shirley’s FC, 4-2 last Tuesday, scoring two goals in the first half. They thrived on an own-goal nine minutes into the match, with Hong Tao Zhao landing their second point three minutes later.
Shirley’s bagged its first goal from Russell Zapanta (5th minute) but failed to connect another point until the 75th minute.
Zhao scored his second goal in the second half, followed by another from teammate Ho Jin Woo (73rd minute).
Meanwhile, MP United edged Tan Holdings Football Club with a 2-1 win on Sunday. MP United’s Wesley Bogdan took the spotlight with the game’s first goal in the first minute. He returned in the second half to score MP United’s second and final point of the afternoon.
Tan Holdings got away with one goal from Halim Abdul (26th minute), but failed to penetrate MP United’s sturdy late-game defense.
