MISO is excited to announce the season schedule for school year 2010-2011. The MISO League is slowly but surely expanding to include more and more teams.
This year will feature five Saipan teams who are: Marianas High School, Kagman High School, Saipan Southern High School, Mount Carmel School, and Grace Christian Academy in the regular season with Tinian High School making the trip north for the tournament to be held on February 11th & 12th, 2010.
MISO officials have decided to change the format of the regular season so that the season doesn’t drag on for 2-3 months. There will now be two scheduled varsity games on the nights that the private schools are playing (as they do not have JV squads at this time).
The nights that the public schools are participating, the JV teams will be playing the early game (4:30pm) and the Varsity playing directly after.
The first game of the season will be against Marianas High School and Saipan Southern High School starting at 4:30 pm sharp, followed by the Varsity competition on Wednesday January 5th, 2010 at the Marianas High School gymnasium.
Following the initial game will be Mount Carmel School going head to head with Grace Christian Academy on Friday, January 7th, 2010. There will only be one game scheduled for this day.
The MISO officials would like to remind everyone that only Marianas High School, Kagman High School, and Saipan Southern High School have Junior Varsity squads and to take note of this throughout the upcoming league.
