Somehow by mythical prophecy, team Konflikt fell a second time to Mobil. Konflikt started the game with the winning streak after Melvin Capalad garnered 8 straight points throughout the quarter working with Kae Bernardo’s earlier 6 point contribution to slice through the scoreboard, 24-12.
But team Mobil refused to give up hope. Upon entering the second quarter they stepped it up a notch ending Konflikt’s momentum and giving them a run for their money. Team Mobil took bold attempts behind the three pointer line nailing three to give Mobil the edge they needed to heave Mobil out of the gap.
Marvin Rabauliman, along with team captain Jhun Estolas, collected 12 points for Mobil. By halftime the scores were up 47-30 in favor of team Mobil.
Konflikt refused to falter against team Mobil a second time but with great force Mobil forced them to their knees during the second half of the game.
Bon Tamayo jumped on the winning bandwagon and connected to the basket for 10 points one shot successfully pocketed behind the three-point line to send team Mobil’s fans into a wild frenzy.
At the end of the third quarter team Mobil gripped a 65-50 deficit and achieved a 15-point lead against Konflikt. Team Konflikt has only suffered one loss throughout the regular season. Konflikt lost their debut game to Mobil by two points after Jhun Estolas aggressively pushed for a jump shot in the last 5 seconds of the quarter.
It all came down to the last quarter of the entire season in the hair-raising event of the night. Both teams managed to tie after 5 minutes of running up and down the court with at least one minute of silence during the quarter.
Konflikt’s team Captain nailed a three pointer shot to tie the game at 69 points all but Mobil broke away after skillful offensive tactics and fast footwork across the arena.
