The MMA event will feature three amateur and 10 pro bouts, with Guam’s Ryan “The Dentist” Urquizu and Giovanni “Palakse” Sablan going head to head in their revenge match for the main event. At 160 lbs, JJ Ambrose will also be fighting MasaKazu Taguchi in their ‘USA vs. Japan Super Fight’ match.
Along with Urquizu, other fighters will be representing Guam at Vengeance. Among the list are Thomas Cruz, who will be battling Fasi “QuikDraw” Jesse at 170 lbs, Wyenu “One Time” Bamba, set to fight Darrel “The Derailer” Salas at 180 lbs, and Rob “The Real Deal” Wusstig, who fill be fighting Japan’s Tomoya “Katana” Kato at 180 lbs.
Matches for the night will also include: Ed “Styx” Castro vs. Slade “The Rage” Adelbai at 185 lbs, Derrick “El Peligro” Rangamar vs. Tinian’s Craig “Earthquake” Borja at 140 lbs, Jun “The Legend” Taga vs. Pete “The Heat” Cepeda at 155 lbs, Mark “The Dark” Nuique vs. CJ “Face” Takai at 135 lbs, and Joe Ray “Manglo” Manglona vs. John Moses at 145 lbs.
Fighters for Niana “Cup Cake” Dela Cruz and “Badd” Brad Palacios have yet to be announced, and the fight card is still subject to change, according to Trench Tech president Cuki Alvarez. In addition, “Tabi” Jay Muna will be heading against Jacob Ilo in their K-1 kickboxing match.
Tickets sell for $25 each and doors will open at 7 pm. The ‘fight night fright night’ themed event will feature a scariest and sexiest costume contest, with awards given to winners in each category.
