NMI athletes briefed on Oceania

All the 30 athletes attended the briefing at the conference room.

To inspire the NMI athletes a little bit and show them how will it look like when the evens come, Rangamar played the video clip of last year’s athletics event in Japan.

“It was just to brief them about the things they need to before and during the tournament,” Rangajmar said.

Rangamar raised possible situation that may arise and cause the athlete to panic and lose confidence.

When they get stuck in traffic on the way to the venue for example, the event time is changed unexpectedly, the event is delayed, the athlete has to do complete additional round in the competition and bared from using his own block.    

He said he also told the athletes what to expect during the competition, and he wants to make sure they are well prepared for the events they will participate.

Before the competition, the training, Rangamar said are going to be light and easy and concentrate more on technique. All athletes must agree with their coach that the objectives of the competition will be focus and performance.

During the competition, they should avoid competitors as much as possible. They can speak to them after the event.

They should also spend in a appropriate time to conduct relaxation and mental rehearsal, and report at the right time to the collection point of events.

After the competition, Rangamar advised the athletes to congratulate their competitors, thank the officials and evaluate the performance with the coach.

Rangamar showed to the athletes all the event schedules.
