NMI sport leagues give way to holiday season

The Budweiser Inter-government/Business Softball League is resuming its ninth game next week.

The Saipan Bowling Association is also canceling its weekday games.

Ross Zapanta said that tournament will be held on a Saturday and a Sunday.

The Prince/Princess of the Lanes for the December roll-off will be on a Saturday at the Capital Bowling Center.

All participants have to pay the SBA annual membership fee of $15.00.

Bowlers for the King/Queen of the Lanes have the option to bowl on any or on both days provided that the $ 15 entry fee is paid. Only the higher score will qualify for prizes. The number of bowlers will be limited to the first 60 entries for each day. Cash prizes will depend on the number of entries. Women will only have separate prizes if there are at least 10 entries.

Youth bowlers who are not bowling in any league or are averaging less than 170 pins in any league prior to the initial participation in this monthly tournament) will only bowl on Saturday to compete for the BING Energy Drink Prince/Princess of the Lanes. Entry fee is $10.

Youth bowlers must also pay the annual SBA youth membership fee of $10 if they wish to qualify for the annual roll off.
