Manglona who managed to find time pursuing his MMA career while serving in the U.S. Air Force brought all his opponents to submission to win the gold medal in the 195-pound intermediate division of Grapplers X held in Las Vegas.
Fighting out of Legion BJJ in the said state, Manglona also won silver medal in the open weight class.
Mark Sablan one of the Gorilla Warfare MMA promoters on Saipan, noted that in winning competitions abroad Manglona is on a right track to become a complete “and much more worthy MMA fighter.”
Sablan also said that Manglona continues to do well in representing his people and expose the talents NMI Mariana produces.
Manglona’s next fight, he added will be in the Las Vegas Cup another No-Gi brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Grappling Tournament that will be held on Feb. 20.
Manglona won the first Gorilla belt after beating Donny “The Menace” Fejeran via TKO, in the 48th second of the first round during the Gorilla Warfare’s Confrontation in November 2009 at the Saipan World Resort.]
