Seman a former Dandan resident who was selected for the 2008 All Stars in Portland, went into pitching duel with RH-Cub’s pitcher Trent Werner and won the crown to be the division’s back-to-back champion.
He and RH-Yankees mounted the winning rally against RH-Cubs with a quick defense retiring three batters in the top of the first inning.
Lead off batter Peter Bergmann hit a triple sending the ball to the center field wall for RH-Yankees early lead.
Mitch Kloewer got a go-ahead to the first base with a walk, Daniel Bieker hit a single and Kiuna Talelemotu hit an RBI double to the right center sending Kloewer and Bieker home to score runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Then, Seman hit a single to the right center pushing Talelemotu to score a run for the RH-Yankee’s 4-0 lead.
Seman nailed RH-Cubs to zero run as he shut them out in the rest of the innings.
The RH-Cubs tried to gain ground in the second inning as Chris Hockley had a base hit, which turned out to be the only one Seman would allow.
RH-Cubs’ Josh DeMarco walked but Seman, turning in his best with 13 strike outs, was able to stop his second base attempt by striking out the next batter.
Seman, the sone of Ben and Remy Seman of Dandan was born on Saipan lives with relatives in Portland.
Talelemotu is the nephew of a Kagman Elementary School teacher.
After the game, the RH-Yankees swarmed the field with a dog pile as their loyal fans cheered them on, celebrating their second successive Interlock Championship win.
The RH Red Sox won the consolation game, beating the SW Red Sox 7-3 to finish in third place for the tournament.
