Even with a game-high 26 points from Noni’s Kae Bernardo and 20 from Wowie Abuel, it was Bon Tamayo’s third quarter performance that secured the game.
Satbahi took the bait as Lerio Pagarao worked his way to the basket, leaving Tamayo open behind the three-point line.
Tamayo fired his first three-pointer two minutes in the second half and shot another after Kae Bernardo’s one-handed layup.
Satbahi’s frustration grew after failing to wipe out their eight-point deficit in the second quarter. Center Marlon Dedios struggled for the rebound, receiving empty passes from Tom Santos and Glen Aquino. Rolly Paraiso barely survived the third quarter with six points, while Glen Aquino scored one from a free throw.
In the final quarter, Noni needed only time to hold their massive 22-point lead. Rex Yabut cleared the scene with 13 rebounds, posting one assist and one steal.
Edwin Camacho tallied four steals for Satbahi but came up short in the offense, bagging only six points.
Bearing only one loss, team Noni has two games to go before the open division’s playoffs next month.
Bart Demapan helped keep Satbahi at bay on five steals, nine rebounds, and 10 points.

In the first game, team Visminda-Piahi defeated Mafea-RNV, 79-75 to advance to the masters division’s semifinals.
Team Piahi needs only one more game to qualify for the finals in October 6.
Piahi’s Ray Lizama topped the scores with 23 points, followed by Jun Abedes with 22. Danny Bicera and Dado Vistal were Mafea’s top gunners at 18 points apiece.
Team RNV must win tonight’s scheduled game to avoid elimination.
